Six Tyneside men have been arrested after filming themselves apparently burning copies of the Koran on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Police said the men, all from the Gateshead area, were detained after a video appeared on the Internet.

They were arrested on suspicion of inciting racial hatred and released on bail pending further inquiries.

ISLAM is NOT a "race" ! Islam is a proselyting, recruit wanting, religion, wherein for all it's other faults there is officially no colour bar: anyone can join. They are burning a book. Whether you like it or not, it is not a crime to burn a paper object in Britain, as long as that paper object is your property!

In a disturbing development, Northumbria Police in Gateshead last week arrested two men after they watched and shared a video on Facebook of a man burning the Koran in the US during the recent 9/11 commemoration at Ground Zero in New York. The men were drinking in the Bugle pub, Leam Lane, Gateshead, when they were arrested after watching and sharing the videos. Around 30 people staged a protest outside Gateshead police station on Wednesday evening, the 15th of September, following the arrests. The group stood outside the doors to the police station with an England flag for about three hours watched by a contingent of uniformed officers.The protesters had gathered at around 8pm after the two men were arrested earlier in the day on 'suspicion of inciting racial hatred'. The protest continued until around 11pm when the two arrested men were bailed pending further enquiries. In a further development, the man who actually burned the Koran in the video on 9/11 in New York has been sacked from his job. Derek Fenton, 39, of Bloomingdale, New Jersey, had worked for NJ Transit for 11 years as a conductor and train co-ordinator. One of his neighbours, Jacqui Marquez, said: "Good for him for burning the Koran. Everybody's entitled to their opinion. By firing him, they're sending a message that there's no freedom of speech. They're completely wrong for doing this." Youtube have now removed all footage of Derek Fenton burning the Koran. Of course, if he had burnt the Stars and Stripes (or any other flag or religious book) the video would still be available. Double standards by Youtube, perhaps? However, Civil Liberty has tracked down a blog which has embedded the video of Fenton's Koran-burning exploits and providing you are prepared to risk arrest from the British police, you can watch it here.

Sweden fails to elect a fully Communinstic parliament - Europe's liberals outraged!

Immigration  is a curse across Europe. From the Arctic Circle, to the Mediterranean, from western Ireland to the Polish border. Sweden is in the news today, but it will be another nation hauled over hot coals for not grovelling to some little savage in his or her demands.

There are no "good" or "bad" immigrants, the fact is that they should not be here. There should be o Mosque in Stockholm, no Eastern European Roma camps in Cambridgeshire, no Somali communes in Barcelona or Algerians in the suburbs of Paris. However: the rest are nothing - mere parasites on the body politic - in comparison to the followers of Islam, and I shall focus upon them, for they are the greatest physical danger Europe faces.

15% 0f Sweden's population is alien in birth, so, therefore alien in culture. Tens of thousands of them are Moslems,  whose ideas of decency, humanity and law are vastly different from the average Swede or Englishman.

Yet his story, unravelling at an ordinary weekday hearing at Taylor House, an asylum appeals' centre in North London, is just one example of the growing phenomenon of multiple marriage in Britain.

Officially, such unions are punishable by up to sPrevieweven years in prison. They were first declared illegal in England and Wales in 1604, when the Parliament of James I took action to restrain 'evil persons' marrying more than one wife. Parliament ruled that anyone found guilty of the crime would be sentenced to death.

In the four centuries since, bigamy (having two wives) and polygamy (more than two) has been frowned on by the state, the Church of England and the Roman Catholic Church.

Yet it is clear that officialdom is turning a blind eye to such marriages.

A recent review by four Government departments - the Treasury, the Work and Pensions Department, the Inland Revenue and the Home Office - has concluded that 1,000 men in the United Kingdom are now polygamists, although some say the figure is higher.

David Toube, 39, was taking his son for a swim when the receptionist told him he could not go in as he was the wrong religion.

When he demanded to speak to the duty manager, he was told that the only way he could go in was if the Muslim men in the pool agreed.

Although the Muslim-only session was widely advertised, Hackney Council, which runs the Clissold Leisure Centre in Stoke Newington, north London, claimed its staff had made a mistake.

Mr Toube, a corporate lawyer, wrote about his experiences under his blog name David T on a political website, Harry's Place.

'I arrived at the pool to discover that they were holding what staff described to me as 'Muslim men-only swimming', Mr Toube wrote.

Europeans across the world, I think, may just have had enough. As the economic woes of Europe that we have been connived into, through "Free Market" economics built on Usury by the Powers That Be, rapidly fall apart, more will turn away from the consensus parties and toward people and organisations that will bring an end to the immigration lunacy.

A 10-month investigation by The Independent in Jordan, Pakistan, Egypt, Gaza and the West Bank has unearthed terrifying details of murder most foul. Men are also killed for "honour" and, despite its identification by journalists as a largely Muslim practice, Christian and Hindu communities have stooped to the same crimes. Indeed, the "honour" (or ird) of families, communities and tribes transcends religion and human mercy. But voluntary women's groups, human rights organisations, Amnesty International and news archives suggest that the slaughter of the innocent for "dishonouring" their families is increasing by the year.

Iraqi Kurds, Palestinians in Jordan, Pakistan and Turkey appear to be the worst offenders but media freedoms in these countries may over-compensate for the secrecy which surrounds "honour" killings in Egypt – which untruthfully claims there are none – and other Middle East nations in the Gulf and the Levant. But honour crimes long ago spread to Britain, Belgium, Russia and Canada and many other nations. Security authorities and courts across much of the Middle East have connived in reducing or abrogating prison sentences for the family murder of women, often classifying them as suicides to prevent prosecutions.

It is difficult to remain unemotional at the vast and detailed catalogue of these crimes. How should one react to a man – this has happened in both Jordan and Egypt – who rapes his own daughter and then, when she becomes pregnant, kills her to save the "honour" of his family? Or the Turkish father and grandfather of a 16-year-old girl, Medine Mehmi, in the province of Adiyaman, who was buried alive beneath a chicken coop in February for "befriending boys"? Her body was found 40 days later, in a sitting position and with her hands tied.

Or Aisha Ibrahim Duhulow, 13, who in Somalia in 2008, in front of a thousand people, was dragged to a hole in the ground – all the while screaming, "I'm not going – don't kill me" – then buried up to her neck and stoned by 50 men for adultery? After 10 minutes, she was dug up, found to be still alive and put back in the hole for further stoning. Her crime? She had been raped by three men and, fatally, her family decided to report the facts to the Al-Shabab militia that runs Kismayo. Or the Al-Shabab Islamic "judge" in the same country who announced the 2009 stoning to death of a woman – the second of its kind the same year – for having an affair? Her boyfriend received a mere 100 lashes.

Or the young woman found in a drainage ditch near Daharki in Pakistan, "honour" killed by her family as she gave birth to her second child, her nose, ears and lips chopped off before being axed to death, her first infant lying dead among her clothes, her newborn's torso still in her womb, its head already emerging from her body? She was badly decomposed; the local police were asked to bury her. Women carried the three to a grave, but a Muslim cleric refused to say prayers for her because it was "irreligious" to participate in the namaz-e-janaza prayers for "a cursed woman and her illegitimate children".

Gordon Brown returns to front-line politics today, making an appeal for Britain to fund food aid to the landlocked African state of Niger where more than half the population face starvation.

In an article for The Independent, the former prime minister expresses frustration that the UK, US and other states have failed to contribute enough money to a United Nations appeal, leaving it $80m (£51m) short of target – and delivering little more than half the food needed.

While dramatic TV footage of the flooding in Pakistan has prompted governments to commit hundreds of millions to the aid effort there, the slowly worsening humanitarian crisis in Niger has been largely ignored by donors and the media. After a drought ruined much of last year's harvest, extending the annual "hunger season" from four to eight months, the rains have now come excessively, sweeping away homes, grain stores and livestock.

Afghan refugee pupil misses university place - despite five A grades and one A* . I just don't care.

 Just like the Liberians. Just like the Kosovans. Just like all the other "refugees" (AKA economic migrants). You are economic migrants BECAUSE you came here, specifically to Britain, when you crossed at least a dozen other countries to get here. Here's a map:

 Hint: Britain is the ISLAND behind France Belgium and Holland, next to Norway.Can you see Iran? That's near where you're from. You could have gone to Turkey, Albania, Ukraine, Moldova, Greece.... Israel, Cyprus, Malta...

A Teenager who fled war-torn Afghanistan three years ago has failed to win a single university place despite achieving seven A and A* grades at A-level.

Rohilla Maarij, 18, had been learning English for just two years when her family escaped the Taliban and claimed asylum in the UK.

She learned on Thursday that she had achieved an A* in maths and six As in biology, chemistry, physics, further maths, Persian and Urdu at William Hulme's Grammar School, a city academy in Manchester.
